Funded by:

The summer school offers an introduction to three levels of tame geometry: real algebraic geometry, o-minimality, and tame expansions of o-minimal structures. Specific topics will be covered throughout such as polynomial optimization, definable groups, and the Pila-Wilkie theorem with Diophantine applications. Tutotials and survey lectures will be given by renowned experts, whereas problem and poster sessions will be held to foster interaction between students and speakers.

The summer school is funded by the VolkswagenStiftung. Student travel awards were also made available by the Association for Symbolic Logic.

Venue: University of Konstanz, which can be accessed from the town of Konstanz by walk, bike or buses 9a and 9b. See timetables and route plans. Registration, reception and all coffee breaks are taking place on floor space A 6. All lectures are taking place in room A 704, with only exception Tuesday 10:30-12:35 that are held in room R 511.
